    Show your support for Chili Dog! This poor guy has been through enough. He is currently feeling better but, it takes medicine three times a day to keep it that way and the medicine is not cheap.     Chili is our Great Pyrenees that was diagnosed with both Histoplasmosis and Blastomycosis last year shortly after he adopted us.  We almost lost him, but he miraculously recovered with some strong antifungal medicine that he took for months.  We and the veterinarian thought he fully recovered and discontinued the medicine.  A short time later, he mysteriously broke one of his back legs.  He got a cast and then suddenly couldn’t walk on the other leg either.  We came to the conclusion that the fungus came back in his bones.  His veterinarian doubled up his antifungal meds to aggressively fight the fungus.  He’s now on joint vitamins, pain medicines, and the antifungal medicine.
